Multiple media outlets are reporting about the difficulties that actress Sandra Bullock and Jesse James are experiencing in their marriage. If these reports are accurate, it appears that they are basically on the verge of divorce.
While this is a sad event, there is a lesson that we can all learn if we observe closely. None of us are exempt from having certain things fall apart in our lives. The Christian Post is reporting that the Episcopal Church is ordaining its second openly gay bishop. Rev. Canon Mary Douglas Glasspool was elected bishop suffragan in the Diocese of Los Angeles.
This is a very interesting development in the church. I don’t know many people that would be involved in a ministry where the leader is openly gay. Bishop Glasspool has been openly gay for a long time. Now, she will have leadership over multiple churches.
