Hello iPad, Goodbye Bible

By Cliff, January 27, 2010

ipad

It is official. The Bible is becoming irrelevant. Wait! Before you get upset, hear me out. The Bible, in its printed form is becoming irrelevant.

Today, Apple announced that it has created a tablet computer called the iPad. This device brings on a new era in computing and media consumption. One of the big features is that the iPad will completely change the way we consume books, and that includes the Bible. I know what you may be thinking. Everybody isn’t going to be able to afford an iPad. That is OK. Soon, you will begin to see many cheaper options coming into the marketplace from other companies.

Review: The Beginners Guide to the Gospel Music Industry

By Cliff, September 23, 2009

Monica-CoatesI have read a number of books about the music industry. When anyone would ask me for recommendations, the first book I would tell them to read was usually Everything You Need To Know About The Music Business by Donald Passman. The conversation would usually start and end there. I wouldn’t mention any other books unless prompted to. For my money, there isn’t a better, more complete book on the market. (At least that is what I once thought.)

PJ Morton’s New Book Explores Love and Music

By Cliff, June 15, 2009

Grammy, Stellar and Dove award winning writer and producer, PJ Morton recently released a new book entilted Why Can’t I Sing About Love. The book talks about the never ending battle between the “church” and secular music.

According to the book’s website, Morton discusses how a number of artists writers and musicians have been shunned from the church for doing music outside of gospel. The book seeks to prove that many of the doctrines we have been taught are not biblically based.

To this day, I don’t know why some Christians are so quick to turn others away. Especially when you consider how that was not how Jesus Christ operated.

The Bible is the top selling book of all time

By Cliff, April 10, 2008

The Christian Post is reporting that a Harris Poll survey concluded that the bible is the top selling   book of all time.

Is anybody surprised by this. It is pretty safe to say that the bible is the greatest book ever written. I don’t care how many languages it is translated in or how many versions are created. Someone could even come out with an ebonics bible, with Jesus saying stuff like "Ya boy J.C. is gonna be dissed 3 times before the rooster hollas".  It won’t matter, the bible is and will always be the greatest book ever.
