By Cliff, February 4, 2010

I have found that new Twitter users are frustrated because they don’t know how to find people to follow. In an effort to help with that, I’ve complied a list of a couple of Twitter directories that will help you identify other Christians to follow on Twitter. Whether you are a pro or novice to Twitter, I’m sure one of these lists will help you.

While you’re searching for people to follow, don’t forget to follow me (@TheGospelBlog).

WeFollow
This is arguably the largest Twitter directory on the web. WeFollow indexes many different categories of Twitter users. The directory of Christians is just one of them.

ipad

It is official. The Bible is becoming irrelevant. Wait! Before you get upset, hear me out. The Bible, in its printed form is becoming irrelevant.

Today, Apple announced that it has created a tablet computer called the iPad. This device brings on a new era in computing and media consumption. One of the big features is that the iPad will completely change the way we consume books, and that includes the Bible. I know what you may be thinking. The Minister’s Guide to Sin, Sex and Relationships: Lesson 3 – The Importance of Communication

By Cliff, December 11, 2009

Many experts believe that the strongest muscle in the human body is the tongue. The bible says that it holds the power for life and death (Proverbs 18:21). It is no secret that the ability to know when to and when not to use your tongue is extremely crucial for the success of any relationship.

A key element to avoiding the pitfalls that many marriages encounter is communication. It is important for us to constantly maintain communication with both God and your spouse. Quality God-focused communication is about talking and listening. It is about saying kind, and encouraging things. It is about honesty. It is not about dishonesty, degradation and abuse.

How to Use Twitter for Ministry

By Cliff, September 11, 2009

Here is a quick and easy tip that explains how you can use Twitter for ministry. As you probably know, Twitter is a great tool for publicizing information about your ministry. I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about using Twitter to actually minister to people and speak words of encouragement in their lives.

First, go to http://search.twitter.com or http://www.twitter.com. On these pages you can search for words or phrases that people post in their Twitter updates. Ask the Lord which words or phrases he wants you to target. You can use phrases like “mother died”, “bad day” or “I’m sick”. One of the phrases that I like to use is “pray for me.”
