Darin Lee McAllister, FBI agent and husband of Judith McAllister, charged with fraud

judithmcallisterIt always saddens me to report things like this.

FBI agent Darin Lee McAllister has been charged with fraud in connection with a mortgage scheme. He is facing a total of 19 counts, including wire fraud and bank fraud.

He also happens to be the husband of Judith McAllister who is a Gospel artist and president of the music department for the Church of God in Christ.

McAllister lied about his profession and income in order to get financing to buy rental properties worth $1.25 million in 2006. He is being charged with devising a scheme to defraud the SunTrust Bank in connection with a $100,000 line of credit in addition to making false statements in a bankruptcy petition in 2009.

If he is convicted on all accounts, McAllister could serve a total of 345 years in prison and $6.5 million in fines.

You can get more information about this story here.

The McAllister Family Needs Prayer
It would be easy for me or anyone else to begin to pile on Darirn McAllister and his family. I don’t think any of us should do that. Let’s sincerely pray for them.

By praying for them, I’m not advocating that Darin McAllister’s actions be excused. If all accounts are true, he deserves any punishmen that he receives.

It is clear that a family is about to be ripped apart. Darin McAllister will likely spend the rest of his life in jail. Judith McAllister will have to spend the rest of her life without the ability to spend private time with her husband.

I imagine that Judith McAllister will need to start answering a lot of questions. The government as well as officials from the Church of God in Christ will want to know about her involvement in the whole matter. I’m sure she will begin to go through some tough and trying times. She will definitely need God’s strength to endure.

I pray that ultimately God gets the glory out of this entire situation. God offers forgiveness to us all and I know he will forgive Darin McAllister. Although McAllister may spend the rest of his life in jail, I pray that God uses him to minister to other people in prison.

I want to hear from you. What do you think about this whole ordeal? Post a comment and let me know.

A well written article. First, my prayers are with them day and night. I go to West Angels and know them personally. Beautiful people. It is devasting blow. BUt God can deal with impossible situations. GOd is with her. I belive many people have committed the same crime but did not get caught. I believe what makes this worst is the fact that he is an FBI office. Finally, I believe, we as believers, must get to the BASICS< PRAYER. We do everything else in church but Pray!!

My heart is hurting for the McAllister family. They truly are a loving family, and have given much to the people of God and have placed feet on Gospel for the world to see. I stand NOT in judgment. I stand in submission to Christ God asking for mercy and Grace for Darin, Judy and their family. This is no big thing to God,and while He Is Just, we serve a God that is forgiving.WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!!! First, these are allegations. Elder Darin is innocent until proven guilty. I am not one to place people’s business on blast. The reason I am responding to this article since you are giving “legs” to this story by what are trumped allegations, therefore, I lovingly admonish the people of God to bear ye one another’s burden.(Galatians 6:2) They are family, because they BELONG to Christ. They are in the Body of Christ so they are my my brothers and my sisters (the entire family). They have children. They have have people who love them and respect them. I, for one, do and gladly pronounce it. I ask and KNOW that God will get get all of the Glory. What satan meant for bad, God will transform this situation around for His good. Intercede as led by the Holy Ghost on their behalf and that of the Body of Christ, and God shall supply our every need. Vegeance belongs to the Lord.

  • Zion

Gloria, amen. I am asking you to intercede on their behalf asking our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for Grace and Mercy. There is nothing too hard for God.

  • Helen

Just pray – these are still just allegations!

  • julie r

JESUS is LORD even over this! There is a purpose in our PAIN, even if it to draw us closer to Christ. I am not sure if Darin was Saved or not, but I believe he will feel the hand of God in this. I pray HE is found innocent. I pray that as they go through this that God will HEAL and strengthen them mightly. If he gets prison time, he will have plenty of time to seek God, pray, which will save him from a burning hell. I am very sorry this happened.

  • kris

HElen, your comment is futile. Even if they are “just allegations” the family is suffering, hurting, crying, struggling right at this moment. Even if these are ‘just allegations” the FBI can still freeze your bank account, seize your house until the allegations are proved to be wrong. Even if they are just allegations, they need prayer, money for an attorney, an attorney who is bold enough to fight against the FBI, the Children need help, love and support. SO please dont say “JUST ALLEGATIONS” It’s not like they can go to the beach and have a great day today! If you were facing many years in prison your would not write that comment.

  • Melanie

I attend West Angeles and know them on a personal level as well, and has kept all 3 of their children from service to service. This is a trying time for the family as a whole. We all should remember to Judge NOT, and Yes we all should pray for one another. The article was ill orchestrated I must add. WHY GIVE THE FIRE OXYGEN? Let’s not speculate, or ‘IMAGINE’ on how one might need to do, answer, etc. GOD Still REIGNS! He is our JUDGE! The truth will alway provail. I”m sure if we were under a microscope, Our flows would be reviled, and exposed and we wouldn’t want to be put on BLAST! Remember God is ALways watching!

Thank you all for your comments.

Gloria…please let the McAllisters know that there is a group of people lifting them up in prayer.

I am so sorry to read this story. I do not know any of this family, but ANY time a believer is accused of wrong-doing it hurts. Whether it the Catholic Church, the COGIC or any other Christian organization – these kind of events hurt the body of Christ. It is wrong to assume the worst, and just as wrong to assume that this is a “set up.” This whole family needs our prayers.

  • DA bizhop

SAd for everyone invloved.I have nothing to say. I have no opinion. God loves them either way. AS long as they make it to heaven they will be fine. This world is not our home, we are just passing thru.

  • http://www.confrontingissues.com Deborah Pegues

If these charges are true, Darin may have fallen victim to a vice that many others have simply gotten away with. I have observed him as a good father, husband and person. I will be praying (and fasting) for Judy and Darin whom I consider friends. Hopefully, the Christian community will rally around them. Mortgage fraud is no bigger transgression in God’s sight than lying, gossiping, failing to tithe, cheating on income taxes, spousal abuse, manipulating folks for personal advantage, or anything else. We have ALL engaged in various sins; God is not ranking them… His grace covers all. Let’s not let the Devil win on this! Let’s just bombard heaven with our requests for the McAllister’s marriage, family, and financial well being. They have weathered a lot in the past–together. With our support,God will be glorified in the end.

  • Richardshom

DA Bizhop, You said it right!!! I love your comment! The Message Board can shut down after your comment! The TRUTH is the Truth! Everybody commenting about “JUDGE NOT” and “Just pray” are the MAIN ones “talking” and NOT praying.

  • Helen

I did not say Just pray will out considering some things.
We have all been involved in things that “looked illegal”, “were illegal” or bordered on illegal. The just pray comment was for the gospel community to not talk about this as much as to pray for the family, for the peace of mind of the children as they ready the articles about their father. sorry I wasn’t specific

It is so refreshing to observe the maturity of the saints. It confirms that real saints and true believers exist. Such encouraging words and advice are inspirational during this time. Thank you blog respondents for speaking from your spirit and not your flesh. You have made God proud and he is smiling. It’s a joy to see and witness non-messy responses; because at the end of the day, God is love and will always get the glory. Father God we thank you for this opportunity to fellowship with your people. Bless them for being obedient and using your word and your bible as a source of reference and inspiration. Continue to guide our tongues and thoughts as the controversy surface and later disappear. We appreciate your instructions and your unconditional love. We ask you to heal, deliver, convict confirm and redeem in Jesus name, Amen.

as God moves, we move, just like that. we must stay in the way of the Lord. when he moves, we need get in the way so that he may blow in our direction. blessings are on the way. obedience is better than sacrifice. trust in the lord, lead to not our own understanding, acknowledge him in all things and he will direct thy path. for the Lord is good and mercy is everlasting. o give thanks unto the Lord, for his mercy endureth forever. have your way Holy Ghost. set the mcallisters in peace. judy has encouraged so many of us to habbak and shabbak, now it’s our time to encourage her. bless the name of Jesus. my God, he just moved. there is nothing like him. saints, if you love the Lord, you will go forth in praise in this hour of need and prayer. let the Lord hear from you. Jesus is real, this I know, he’s been real to me. don’t wait till the battle is over, shout now. O give thanks- say hallelujah somebody. make some noise for Jesus, cause he will get the Glory.

@Richardshom..you sound “HOSTILE!” PRAY without ceasing! I agree with Melanie and Helen. There’s nothing wrong with a little praying! However you posted 2 BLOGS about someone else’s Business…seems like you are doing a lot of talking to everyone. I’m just saying…..

  • Richardshom

    @ Bledsoe I am….

  • Crazy praise!

This board is a trip! Dang! Like the old saying: OPINIONS ARE LIKE BOOTY’s, everyone has one. And on this board, Some of THEM STINK!

  • AJ

Well, let me first say that they are constantly in my prayers. I honestly believe that Brother McAllister may have been set-up by someone. If that be the case, I pray that God uncovers the people that has set out to destroy his life and the lives of his family. I have worked in the mortgage industed in the past. NO high-end mortgage company like Suntrust will allow someone to go that far. After the 2nd time of attempting to get funding Red Flags are raised. Anyway, the family is in my prayers.

  • NLuvWithGod

@Melanie, Gloria and Deborah, please let the McAllister family know that there are saints everywhere praying for them, their family, finances and marriage.

  • Yvonne Buchanan

Being a member of West Angeles C.O.G.I.C., I have sat under the music of Judy McAllister, have been blessed. I know that God loves her and Darin and He is going to vindicate Darin and give peace and victory in this situation. Truly, there is nothing too hard for God. Daily, I pray for the McAllister family…AND KNOW, THAT THIS TOO SHALL PASS! My heart hurts when I think of what they’re going through right now. What we, as Saints, have to do is lift the family up and BELIEVE GOD’S WORD AND PROMISES….This is just a test…for a testimony!

  • Eric J. Chambers

As for your editorial on the story, I agree, the McAllisters are standing in the need of prayer and mercy, but let's not be so fast to convict my brother by declaring he will spend the rest of his life in prison. The story says he's been charged, not convicted. There's a thing called “due process.”

After all of the facts have come out and he has been tried in a court, then, it is what it is. Nevertheless, I remain prayerful for Darin and Judy. I've known them for many years and am totally shocked by this story, but unless there's been a grand jury indictment, it's wrong to suggest he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Meanwhile, this should be a lesson to us all–never compromise. The enemy will show us the beginning, but it's rare that he shows us the crash-landing at the end.

God be with Darin and Judy during this difficult time.

    Eric J.

  • Bryan

I agree that we need not jump to judgement. A person accused is not a person convicted. He is, afterall, innocent until proven guilty.
It's all in Divine Order. God's got them.

  • http://www.TheGospelBlog.com Cliff

    Eric,

I never said he was convicted. My exact words were:

“If he is convicted on all accounts, McAllister could serve a total of 345 years in prison and $6.5 million in fines.”

  • Ladykadee

The Darin Lee McAlliaster situation is painful to even think about. I've known about it since the breaking story of the incident, however, I refuse to discuss it but to say, “Keep the family in prayer”.

Minister to yourself by keep you mouth off this family and by letting your words be those of prayer to GOD for His mercy and grace on them. I don't want God to have to judge me for any unloving words or judgement on this matter.

  • Mccoy-christopher

First of all we don't know all of the facts and the only information we have is what has been printed in the press. We hope it's not true. Don't throw stones. How many of you have not inflated your income to get a line of credit. If you put down the wrong information on that credit card application and send it through the U.S. Postal Service you committed a number of federal crimes.

The mortgage companies lied and almost sent our economy into the worse deppression ever and we bailed them out. After we bailed them out they went on company retreats and gave the executives a big fat bonus. I can't understand how Darin is facing the same time as Bernie Madoff. Bernie took billions of dollars from Thousands of people. There were cities and companies that had there retirement plans invested with him.

Whatever the case and outcome, I will always have Darin and Judy's back.

  • elle

Thank the body of christ that are praying for the McAllisters family. When you bad mouth the parents you also do it to all the family because when one person in a family sin it hurts the whole family. so please we all pray for them remember (CARMA) remember GOD still sit on the throne and GOD can do as he please.

Although you did say they he could be sentenced you also said that he would likely be spending his life in jail and she would be spending the rest of her life without private time with her husband. You also at the end of your article say that he may be in jaiil and pray that God will use him there. It seems to me from this article he is gulity until proven innocent. Maybe you did not intend for that to be your slant but it kinda comes across as such. Be not deceived, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth so shall he reap. Let's be careful with the words we sow.

  • Lee

I want to know why her picture is up here instead of his. He is the one that was “accused”. That is unfair to her. I don't know what he did, is he guilty or not guilty. But I do know it is unfait to post her picture and she was not the one arrested. He was.

  • Guest

I honestly believe that even in this terrible account of accusations and the courts finding Darin guilty, God still has the final say. It's so easy to look at everything that is going on and being said and form an opinion but we are all human and subject to error or mistake regardless of what it is.

God shows us through a number of situations that NONE of us are immune to difficult situations.
Whether or not Darin committed this is someone else's duty to decide. As supporters of this
family and as children of God, our responsibility is to pray faithfully for Darin, Judy and their children
And extended church families. The word days that the devil is a roaring lion seeking whom he
may devour. We are constantly at battle against any and all temptations. Rather than
persecute, let's pray and watch how our mighty God will get the victory from this. Lets pray fervently
that this family does not lose hope in the midst of this trial.

We should just keep this family in prayer.  Allegations can be proven to be either true or false, in any case…we should just pray for this family!  Be blessed!

This is very hurtful to the McAllister family. Especially to Dr. Judith McAllister, all I have to say is how can you even sleep at night. And you guys call this a christian blog!!!!!! Yea right!! You people are sick and selfish!!!!

Speaking as an insider in the banking industry the fraud was most likely commited by the bankers involved. This is larger than what we see with our natural eyes. This is spiritual wickedness in high places. This family is an enemy of satan and his kingdom, so Satan is trying to get JUDITH off her GOD ASSIGNMENT…To Darin>>> minister where you are…In the heart of the battlefield….Because of my employment in the industry I cant freely speak…Could get me terminated in more ways than one..
    Signs of the times…
