Donnie McClurkin Launches Television Broadcast

mcclurkin_donnieGospelCity.com is reporting that Pastor Donnie McClurkin has signed a deal with RNN (Regional News Network) to air “Perfecting Your Faith” on Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM (ET). The broadcast will feature sermons deliverd by Pastor McClurkin from the Perfecting Faith Church located in Freeport, NY.

It is interesting that someone who is know worldwide would choose to do a regional broadcast instead of a national one. I’m sure he could have put something together with The Word Network, TBN or The Church Channel. It is likely that RNN will be compensating him, instead of the other way around. If so, that is good for Pastor McClurkin and his congregation. Hopefully that money will be used to do great things.

I wonder what this broadcast will look like. Many preachers use TV broadcasts as elaborate commercials to sell their products. Will Donnie follow the same mold? I wouldn’t be surprised if we soon notice that Donnie has all of a sudden written two books and started a conference that was not in existence a month ago. I would like to think that would not be the case, but you never know.

Call me naive, but I hope that this broadcast focuses on ministry and not how my “gift” of $100 will help him take his ministry across the world. I understand how contributions help support ministry. I would just like to see a half hour broadcast that is not 10 minutes of ministry and 20 minutes of solicitation. Is that too much to ask?

The primary audience for RNN is in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. You will also be able to watch the broadcast on DirecTV and Dish Network. You can learn more about RNN, listings and air times by visiting the network’s website.

Have you ever seen Donnie McClurkin preach? Do you plan on watching his broadcast?

Clifton Holmes, this blog would make more sense 1) after you see the broadcast, 2) after you meet Pastor Donnie or 3) if you direct your issues to the preachers in the broadcasts you dislike. To incriminate Pastor Donnie BEFORE you’ve heard the broadcast is useless. Did you blog about the ACTUAL broadcasts you don’t like? This is a wasted blog.

Do you have a problem with the broadcasts with vulgarity, pornography and violence or just preachers? I hope you don’t watch those types of channels, keeping them on the air while explaining how it will help us in this world. Is that too much to ask?

BTW, your questions are written incorrectly. The first question should be “Have you heard him “preach?” or “Have you seen him while he was preaching? ” You don’t see words. The second question — you should ask yourself. There are thousands of TV channels in this world pick one and save yourself the frustration.

@Durrell…I have not incriminated him of anything. This post talks about things that I hope for. I am not accusing Pastor McClurkin of anything.

Thank you for sharing your opinions. God bless!

Well to answer your question about if anyone has ever seen Donnie McClurkin preach I can tell you without a doubt that I have. I am a member of his church and I have seen him preach about 50 times in about 9 months and there is not a bad word that leaves his mouth. This man and his church has helped more people that I can ever begin to count. He has changed my life and my families and I will defend him till my death. What you see on TV is what you get in real life. He is a true man of God filled with nothing but good thoughts and prayers. He is as real as they get. If you don’t know him personally then you need to get to know him. He is my pastor and my friend. I love him deeply as if he were my real blood family. He has blessed and touched the hearts of so many people along with saving them from a life of sin and despair. So many times we get despressed and stuck in situations that bring us down and ready to just give up. I can’t tell you how many times I have left that church feeling so good about myself, life, people, and feeling like I have a second chance and that everything will really be OK. I really think before you judge someone or hint about someone wanting only to get donations for their church, you need to get familiar with the person first. After that, if you see something that doesn’t suit you, then you can judge and speak your mind but until then you should observe first and speak second! God Bless you too! Sherrie A.

@Sherrie…I am not attempting to judge Pastor McClurkin. This post is about me hoping that he does not follow the same pattern some of us have seen other ministers follow. I apologize if you found this post offensive in any way.

I am happy to see that his ministry has blessed you, your family and many others. To God be the glory!

Thank you for sharing your feelings.

SISTER SHERRUE, THAT WAS BEUATIFULLY WORDED,PEOPLE SHOULD NOT JUDGE WHO THEY DONOT KNOW,AND THEY SHOULD LEAVE THE JUDGING TO THE lord. AND NOT TO MAN,MAN NEED TO REPENT OF THEIR SINS FIRST,AND GIVE THEIR LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST,INSTEAD OF JUDGING,ASK ME WHY? BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORD OF THE LORD.THE BIBLE SAYS TO SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOW OF GOD,AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND ALL THINGS WOULD BE ADDED UNTO YOU.MATTHEW 6;33.BEFORE YOU JUDGE SOMEONE,SEEK OUT THE FACE OF THE LORD FIRST,AND ASK HIM WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THIS MAN OF GOD?ALWAYS SPEAK WELL OF GOD’S PRIEST/AND PROPHETS.AND YOU WILL BE BLESS.

One more thing I forgot to say is that please everyone reading this please call Cablevision Optimum Online and request the channel WRNN. We are the only ones that don’t get to see this program and it upsets me. I called and they told me the more people that call, the more they will get the channel faster. So please everyone who has Optimum Online please call and request this channel! Also I forgot to say something above in my comments about the other Pastors in our church. Pastor Mellini and Pastor West you both are awsome and a big part of this church and I love you both also! You both have sat with me and heard me cry and complain and have always been there to help me and I love you both for your patience and undestanding. To everyone in the church thank you for changing my life and for introducing me to the Lord. I love you all! May God bless you all!

@Durcell, Sherrie, & PFC…what are you folks talking about??? Not once did Cliff say anything negative or derogatory towards Pastor Donnie!! He is only hoping that the pattern that has been established…10-15min of preaching, remaining balance to solicitation…is not followed. That is not negative, actually it is a positive suggestion right off the bat before any episodes air. Geez guys!

    Love Ya’ll in Jesus Name…Amen

I was wondering has anyone seen him preach because he is a worshipper. What I mean is he speaks so passionately about our Lord and from what I have seen of him he begins to give a word and just end in praise. I love Pastor McClurkin but I crave to hear him just preach.
