Vickie Winans is scheduled to appear on BET’s “The Mo’Nique Show” on February 18, 2010. The Gospel great is slated to perform “Dance Till the Walls Fall Down” from her latest Grammy Award-nominated CD “How I Got Over”, talk about her forthcoming aerobics video and discuss the ups and downs of her spectacular career.
It is interesting how we have recently seen a run of Gospel music artists on The Mo’Nique Show. Being around Gospel artists clearly had an impact on Steve Harvey’s life. I wonder if frequent exposure to Gospel artist will have some slight impact on Mo’Nique’s life too. Read more...
According to a message he sent on Twitter, Dr. Jamal Bryant, pastor of Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, MD will have a show on TV One. The show is set to begin in September.
I don’t have any idea what type of show this will be. A reality show or a sit com would be interesting. However, I’m imagining it will be something a little more serious. I guess we’ll know more in the future. I will keep you posted.
I told you in an earlier post that Kirk Franklin gathered a bunch of Gospel artists to record a song for Haiti. The official title of the song is Are You Listening: A Love Song for Haiti. It is currently being played on radio stations online and around the country.

In case you didn’t know the 2010 Stellar Awards took place on Saturday, January 16. Did you make it to Nashville to see the show live? If you didn’t, don’t worry, you are not alone. I wasn’t able to make it there either.
By all accounts the 25th Annual Stellar Awards was a great show. It appears the Hezekiah Walker and Vickie Winans were the big winners of the night.
Although I couldn’t make it, I was fortunate enough to get frequent updates from many of the people that I follow on Twitter. I am grateful to these men and women for keeping me and thousands of other people updated. Read more...
