he is not wrong. He is bible. Something that know one uses these days. He preaching what needs to be preached. He is someone that is not influenced by the world but is influenced by the bible. The world started that women movement stuff and now it has entered into the church. I think that many people fell to realize that he is not looking down on women or miss treating or saying that they are less but he is a man of God and God is a God of order he is only following order and obidience of the Holy Lord our God. He preaches holiness and how to walk.
If a women is not allowed to preach by God and does it does that not make her false? If you were not sent by God or doing something contrary to the Lord than it is not of him and the spirit if not of the Lord is of another.

It is very sad to read a response from someone who is not spelling correctly. I would encourage you before you post a reply, please use a program that is available to check your spelling and word usage.
If a person is walking in the things of God, being hateful it surely not exhibiting any FRUIT of the Spirit which is also in the BIBLE. Love, patience, and long-suffering, to name a few are listed in the BIBLE as FRUITS of the spirit. Perhaps he’s not had a chance to read that yet. Instead of being so protective of him, make sure you are in right relationship with God, not RELIGION. A relationship is getting to intimately know someone. Get to know the real character of God Himself.
Obviously, the man of God needs prayer. I think we need to spend less time judging folks and more time developing a CLOSE RELATIONSHIP with GOD.

I agree with you 100% Ivory what you are saying. Pastor Tony Smith is preaching the TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!!! I say that because when I have heard him I did not look at him I was letting my spirit minister to me on what GOD wanted me to hear. We get so caught up on the MAN per say that we don’t let our soul receive the truth in it’s entirety. Well in order to receive truth it must first come from someone that is GOD chosen Man to deliver it the way GOD sees fit. Instead for some they will rather hear the word coming from someone that is not qualified to even be preaching whether it man or woman. When you hear someone like Pastor Tony you reject it because you still have things in your life that you are not ready to give up, so you chose to bash him without even knowing him, but then you tell people don’t judge well who is judging who then.

He is more qualified to preach the gospel than what we have out here now, but this is just our opinion so we will all see on judgment day.

Remember spelling is not going to get you into HEAVEN knowing and obeying this word will that is what is important.

I was so glad to have stumbled upon his video on youtube. I really believe he is speaking the Truth, he explains the Sabbath so matter of factly that I just could not get over how practical the word of God is and how we strain and struggle to fit it into our own view of how we should be worshipping God, instead of how he wants to be worshipped. I really believe that is why we are in the mess we are in, America is fallen because we have not Obeyed. To take the Sabbath and spend time with him. Isen’t is ironic that the day that America Party’s the most is the very day that God would have us set aside for him. This man preaches truth SOME OF THE TIME but many of his doctrines are not supported by the bible, but rather his opinion. He is correct concerning women teaching men IN THE CHURCH concerning bible doctrine… HOWEVER I need people to be REAL BEREANS and check every word he says, because all of it is NOT gospel.

Pastor Tony Smith is in the word of the most high and these people hate it. They would rather feel good than to know what the actual word says.

The truth is something. We know this one thing about Pastor Tony Smith. He is backing up his teachings according to the Authorized King James version of the BIBLE. In context, the HOLY SCRIPTURE teaches, MEN are BISHOPS. MEN are HUSBANDS. The HOLY SCRIPTURE say’s, these MEN have One WIFE. This is where the men are brought to question their marital behavior. This is also where the good preacher’s phrase, {While the first one yet lives}, comes from. Pastor Smith gives Book, Chapter, and Verse in all of his teachings. I have taken his sermons apart, many times. I know it for myself; I find NO SCRIPTURE in the BIBLE which speaks of Women preaching, no matter how I stretch the WORD, or any of it’s content. I’ve studied under some of the greatest Apostles, Teachers, Ministries, and Prophets of the day. At this time, my quandary is this; Am I the Woman of GOD I believe The ALMIGHTY called me to be? I heard HIM call my name. I’ve seen my name in the LAMB’S BOOK of LIFE. I was not asleep. More than anything else, I want to be SAVED. I’m not planning to go to HELL from Church!

P.S. Much Fasting and Prayer is required here. This WORD teaching is messing with a lot of ministries, rustling quite a bit of anointing, and the money is a matter to be considered also. Besides this; As we listen to Pastor Smith’s teachings, we learn more about whom people of color truly are. He speaks freely in announcing the revelations GOD gave him concerning true Black History. He is not the only one to open up these opinions. His teachings on the Hebrew people is fascinating. There are other subjects which sting the soul. The wearing of jewelry, certain apparel, the braiding of our hair, dietary laws, and a few other things, easily found in the WORD; all make quiet contemplation or dialogue, impossible. Woman can be preacher, In Acts there are two woman minister priscilla and aquilla, which in corinthians, Paul tells the church to greet them and their church (located in their house) and junia a woman apostle(1 romans 16:1-7). if u read 1 corinthians 14:34,35 and 1 timothy 2:11-14 these are all based on either the laws of that time or by the head of the ministry. Corinthians 14:34-35 is the laws of that time,there are several scriptures (i.e 1 timothy 1:8) that basically say we must follow the rules of the land. so if the laws say woman are not allowed to speak then that is what happen, but if the laws say that women can speak & are equal to men then that rule applies to us as well as the ten commandments and being righteous. In timothy, these are charges given to him by paul a truthful preacher. In timothy’s minstry, paul did not allow woman to preach, for many reason, especially since his ministry was in ephesus. Now with all that being said it is harder for a woman to be in postion in god church, due to the sin of EVE, which made our desires to be for or of our husband, we must go thru pains or “birth” and have our minds clear to receive the word of god, whereas men walk in there purpose. prime example there are only 7 woman prophets compared to i believe 55 men. all this now come to corinthians 11:3 which is the natural order created by God, caue most women are not able or willing to go thru what God put you thru to become a leader in his house. I’m no scholar but I read the Bible a few years ago when I got saved. I listen to it even now on my ipod and in the car so I 100% believe in Bible teaching but I also believe in a balance.

The book of Proverbs says that a false balance or weight is an abomination. I *personally* don’t find Smith to be balanced but I’m sure I’m off in some areas as well. I can appreciate his effort and will pray for him as I hope all would pray for me.

He could do WONDERS for the unsaved if he would use a dash of salt instead of emptying the container on one serving.

Regarding women as leaders in the church – What about Deborah who was the FIRST judge (in the Old Testament)?

Regarding Sabbath – what about Romans 14 which says all days are the same? What about Colossians 2 which states let NO ONE act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day

I hate when preachers don’t share ALL of the scriptures on a topic.

Another thing – Pastor Smith does not have a Heaven or Hell to put anyone in and the clips I saw was him talking about who was going to Hell. He can’t condemn people who are at least trying to do the will of God. Instead of tearing people down, he should try praying for them. God made everyone and he has a lot of nerve talking about other people like he’s got it all figured out. The Bible says we know in part (I Corinthians). No one has it all together but one thing every Christian should believe on is Jesus. Philippians says that if a person is preaching for the wrong reasons, at least the Word is preached. The bible says we plant and God brings the increase (I Corinthians). He might try sweeping around his own front door (Matt 7) because when you read the Bible you should see YOURSELF – NOT OTHERS (I Corinthians). And of everything I’ve posted – I am the FIRST person who needs to line up with the Word.

Come on people…there is bigger fish to fry. The devil got us busy fighting each other. If you were so smart you’d see that. Or do you see it but are too selfish to care? People need to get SAVED. In the name of Jesus – PLEASE redirect your energy.

1. There is not one Scripture in the Bible that forbids women from preaching, but on the contrary, there are many verses that encourage both men and women to preach the Gospel.

2. The Bible teaches that God is not a respecter of persons, and He will use any and all who will yield to Him, regardless of race, age, or sex.

Galatians 3:28 – “…neither male nor female…for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Acts 10:34 – “…God is no respecter of persons….”

Moses said in Numbers 11:29, “Would God that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put His spirit upon them!”

The crying need of the hour is for more laborers. It is a trick of the enemy to try to down rate thousands of our faithful laborers just because they were born females.

3. The Great Commission, Mark 16:15, “Preach the Gospel,” is to ALL believers, and to all the church of Jesus Christ. The command to “preach the Gospel” is to both male and female.

4. It is an undeniable fact that God has called and anointed thousands of women to preach the Gospel. The Full Gospel organizations have hundreds of licensed and ordained women who are preaching, teaching, evangelizing, pastoring, and doing mission work with the signs following their ministry. God is using them for the salvation of the lost, deliverance from sin, gifts of the Spirit, and infilling of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says, “Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm.” And may we be reminded of the Scripture in Acts 5:39, “If it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.”

When someone says, “God does not call women to preach,” it is like saying that God does not baptize with the Holy Spirit today. We know better, because we have witnessed and experienced it with our own ears and eyes.

I would be afraid to condemn women preachers, lest I would be found to be fighting against God, and to be committing the vile sin of attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to the devil.

5. Women preachers are a fulfillment of Bible Prophecy and another sign of Christ’s soon return to earth (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17-18).

6. The Bible declares that women will prophesy: 1 Cor. 11:5, “For every woman that prayeth or prophesieth….”

Both the Hebrew (Nebrah), and Greek (Proph) used for prophetess means (female preacher). (See Young’s Concordance, Pg. 780.)

The word “Prophet” means a public expounder.

The word “Prophesy” means to speak forth, or flow forth. The Bible says in 1 Cor. 14:3, “But he that prophesieth speaketh unto MEN to edification, and exhortation and comfort.”

The dictionary says, prophesy is “to speak under divine inspiration…to preach.”

Therefore we learn from the original translation, from the Bible interpretation, and from the dictionary, that to prophesy means more than to tell the future, but it is to speak publicly about the past, present, or future. It is to preach under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The Old and New Testament prophets and prophetesses were preachers of God’s Word.

Even if the words prophet and preacher could be separated, how could anyone prophesy to bring exhortation, comfort and edification to the church, if she were forbidden to speak in church and was to keep silent?

Would God inspire and anoint someone to do something that was wrong and sinful???

* (There is a difference between a prophet, and the gift of prophecy.)

7. God called and used women preachers in the Old Testament.

a. DEBORAH – Judges 4:4-5. Deborah was a Judge for both civil and criminal cases. The children of Israel came to her for judgment. She was the chief ruler of Israel for 40 years, giving orders to the Generals and all the army. She did the work of an evangelist, prophetess, Judge, and a preacher. God gave her authority over the mighty (Judges 5:13).

b. MIRIAM – Exodus 15:20; Numbers 12:1; Micah 6:4. She was a Prophetess and a Song Leader in Israel.

c. HULDAH – 2 Kings 22:14. Five men went to Sister Huldah and communed with her. She spoke to a congregation of men concerning the book of the Law. A female preached to a man’s congregation, and her message was taken to the nation and produced a revival.

d. MAHER-SHALAL-HASH-BAZ’S MOTHER – Isaiah 8:3. She was a prophetess.

8. God called and used women preachers in the New Testament.

a. The first message of the Resurrection of Christ was spoken by women to a group of men.

b. Anna – Luke 2:36-38. She must have prophesied in church, because she did not depart from the temple.

c. Phillip had 4 daughters who prophesied. Acts 21:9.

d. Priscilla assisted Paul in his revival meeting and even taught Apollos in the way of the Lord more perfectly.

e. Phebe – Romans 16:1-2. Paul commended Phebe to the Church at Rome and requested that they assist her in her business. She was one of Paul’s assistants in the work of the Lord and delivered the Book of Romans to the people from the hand of Paul.

9. There is no sound reason why a woman or man should not preach the Gospel. There is a desperate need in the church for more workers. Laborers are few, and God will use any and all who will go for Him. Some say God will not use a woman to preach, because “The woman was deceived,” but remember Romans 5:12: “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world.” It seems to indicate that Adam was just as guilty as Eve in the fall of man. If anyone should be kept from preaching because of sin, it would be Adam. But God does not forbid anyone from preaching, because of Adam’s or Eve’s sin.

10. 1 Cor. 14: 34-35 does not say anything about women preachers. If Paul intended this verse as a general rule to bar all women from speaking in church, then they cannot teach Sunday School, testify, pray, prophesy, sing, or even get saved, and this would contradict the rest of the Bible (Acts 2:4; Acts 2:16-18).

Paul was rather dealing with a particular problem in the church. Women were not educated as were the men in that day; therefore the women would talk back and forth to their husbands in church and ask questions concerning the sermon. Paul said, “If they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home; for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.” If they want to talk things over let them wait until they get home. This rule is still good for the church today, where people are talking and causing confusion in the church service. They should not speak in church. (Not in the back of the church either before or after services.)

If a woman cannot speak in church, then she cannot speak in prayer meeting, young people’s service, etc., for who can deny that Sunday School and Prayer meeting, and Youth work are parts of church? Christ’s Church is not a building, but rather it is found where two or three are gathered together in His name, whether at a street meeting, in a tent, a home, church, classroom or anywhere else.

11. 1 Timothy 2:12 is not a blanket rule for all women of all churches. If it were, then the women could not speak at all, for the same verse that tells them not to teach also tells them to be silent.

If all women had to keep silent in church, then that would be promoting disobedience to God, for they could not prophesy, pray, testify, sing, exhort, do personal work, or even get saved.

Whenever an interpretation to a verse contradicts the rest of the teaching of the Bible, we know this interpretation is incorrect, for the Holy Spirit will never contradict His own Word.

This is the chief verse that is used to oppose women preaching and yet it says nothing about preaching, nor does it say anything about a public worship or church service. But, on the contrary, this verse is giving instructions to wives as to how they were to conduct themselves in regard to their husband. Paul says in 1 Cor. 14:35, “And if they will LEARN anything, let them ask their husbands at home.” Now he states in 1 Tim. 2:12 that the woman should learn in silence, and should not usurp authority over the man. Paul is dealing with more of a home problem than a church problem.

This verse still applies to us today. It is wrong for a woman to usurp authority over her husband (in church, home, or any place else) as was the case in Paul’s day. She should not try to teach him or speak words that would cause discord and confusion, but should rather be silent and in subjection to her husband.

It is also to be understood that if anyone, whether man or woman, is usurping authority over the God-given leadership of the church, she or he is to be silent, and not to teach, or act in such a way that would create discord in the assembly.

12. Some have used Titus 1:6-7, “If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children…”, but there is a difference between a preacher and a bishop. For I was an Evangelist and now am a Pastor, but I am not a Bishop (Overseer), and most Pastors are not.

If God called a single man with no children to be a Bishop, as Paul was, surely this verse is not opposed to it, nor would this scripture oppose a woman Bishop if she was called of God for the work, as was Deborah.

What this verse does teach is that a person who is to be a Bishop must not have two living companions, either husbands or wives.

The Bible often speaks of “man” when it refers to both men and and women inclusively. The word “mankind” also includes both men and women. For an example of this word usage see 1 Cor. 13:1 – “Though I speak with the tongues of MEN and angels….” This word “MEN” includes women as well, for we do not have one language for men and another for women.

13. To condemn women preachers and women church workers is a serious offense, because God has stamped His approval on them by His Spirit over and over again, and who is man to fight against the Spirit of God?

To condemn women preachers and women church workers is in a sense to claim they are doing wrong and committing sin…and all those who support them and listen to them are having a part in that sin.

For anyone to do this, he must condemn approximately 99% of all the Spirit-filled believers and the vast majority of all of Christianity.

“Of a truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons…” (Acts 10:34).

Something to think about huh. Often times scriptures are taken out of context. For example, there are many churches that requre their women heads to be covered stating the scripture women should cover their heads not realizing that during that time, there was a distinction in the temple where Godly women had hair and the temple prostitutes were bald. So the women’s hair was her covering not a dollie, hat or some other nonsense. In today’s society the temple prostitutes are bald and others have hair to the ground. So today the distinction has nothing to do with the hair.
I guess we keep getting caught in the cycle where man looks on the outside but God is looking at the heart. I want to be able to see like God. Do you?

I think often preacher and pastor are used interchangeably. A woman can be a teacher or evangelist (which some see as preaching), but that is different than a pastor (who is head of a church). I believe the scriptures forbidding women regarding men in church is referring to pastorship, not just teaching/preaching in general. Peace.

I think Pastor Tony Smith just want attention. He is surely getting it. He really needs to calm down. Anyone who would call his congregation stupid over and over again needs what ever is coming. People better read their bibles themselves and ask God for understanding. Whatever happened to with love and kindness “not calling people stupid”. Let’s keep him in prayer daily. My prayer is for the whole congregation eyes to be opened up to this man. He is not God, he don’t have a heaven or hell to send no one. The bible say many(Tony Smith) will come in my name. His poor wife and kid must be in total bondage. If truth be told she is not a happy woman, nor are the children. My prayers are with you. God bless!!!!!

The problem is the church has allowed itself to be influenced by the world. The scripture is clear when it says that women must keep silent in the church. The Most High wants order in the church and family, which means Christ is the head of man, and man is the head of the woman.

You have provided scriptural references but have not explained your point! You have to be well versed in History as well as the Word in order for you to maintain contextual significance! The word LEARN does not denote speaking in any way, shape, or form. Also, MAN was used in several different tenses to signify the male sex and mankind as a whole, which would include women! If you are going to interpret the Bible literally in some areas than it should be interpreted literally in all areas! If women are to be silent in church than that exclaims that they should NEVER SPEAK in church for aany reason! It is amazing to me that men have so much opposition toward women preaching and that women have no problem with men preaching. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course. But what is the truth? The truth is that if we are looking for a physical manifestation of God who is a Spirit, then why are we concerned about man, woman, dog, cat, donkey or etc. The bible teaches us that ” God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship in Spirit and in truth. If we are true worshipers, we worship in the Spirit of God in which there is liberty (freedom), and that He the Spirit has no respect of persons. God's Spirit is an invisible presence whom only believers can know Him and identify His presence by His nature, characteristics, His infinite and sovereign power to control the whole universe. The bible also teaches us that it is impossible to please God without faith. We must know and believe in our hearts that He is who He says He is according to His Word. In the beginning, in the book of Genesis God created the world, man, and woman. The bible declares and it is the truth that man was perfect walking with God in His image until the deception in the garden of Eden. In which, Eve did look, she took, she ate, and she gave to her husband to eat of the forbidden fruit in which God commanded them not to eat. Because of this seemingly small act of rebellion, the whole world was born into sin. The relationship with mankind had been broken because of Adam and Eve's disobedience. God in His divine love, faithfulness, and great mercy saw a need and met the need before it became a need. In order for a sinful people to be restored into the relationship with God, God had a plan from the beginning of time. He is timeless. See John 1:1 Jesus Christ was, is, and will be to come the answer in the reconciling of God's people back to a relationship with God and this can only happen by faith in Jesus Christ the Lord. Now we have a restored relationship by faith, through our Savior Jesus Christ and we therefore have Him as our mediator to God. Remember He died on the cross for all of our sins, and for all that have received Him into our hearts by faith; we have a relationship with God our Creator. As an effort to assist in the fact that now we are because of this faith, and by grace given from God above we are all spiritual beings in a shell (body). This my Christian brothers and sisters is the reason for the hope that rests in all of the hearts of those who believe in the name of Jesus Christ that because we have received the gift of God we are all spiritual beings. On the other hand, it is clear that many have not received and yet live on the cross (in the flesh) with Jesus who died on the cross, nevertheless we have not come into the knowledge to understand that when He got up and He did, we also got up (by faith) and we live and strive to live each day a new life in the Spirit of God, in which there is no Gentile, no Jew, no circumcision, or uncircumcised, but because we are by faith one Spiritual body of believers (bride) waiting for our Spiritual Groom who is Christ the Lord to return.
I say this as an effort to edify (buildup) the believers faith, it is not an opinionated or human perception, but is solely truth byway of inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gives wisdom and that is wisdom which comes from on high. The bible says Spirit is above all things. We can draw conclusions and make human perceptions, competitive arguments all day, but the truth is what will stand and that is what comes from the Spirit of God. Who can discern? Who can truly say that God said this and this is the truth, only God's Spirit can. May God bless each and every one of you and I await on the call from the Lord to bury this competition between who can preach and who can not? God's Spirit is who preaches and because of who He is, He can chose who or whatever He likes. May God bless each and every one of you and please let us all pray for God's Spiritual Discernment.

@ Gabar. Women Preachers are not ordained of God. However, let the women keep silent in the church only refers to the understanding of the the scriptures. The women were being disruptive when being taught. It doesn't mean women should be silent in church across the board. Also, prophesying does not necessarily mean preaching. Also let it be known that if authority is given to a woman, she is no longer usurping. Christ is the head of the church, Christ is the head of the man and the woman. Man is not the head of the woman, unless that man is that womans husband. Women are not to be subjective to ALL men, she is only to be subject to her husband. In fact both are to be subject one to another. (husband and wife)

@ Ivory. Pastor Tony does nothing but teach Legalisms. He takes some parts of the scripture and says that everyone has to live by this, but then rejects other scriptures. Case and point…he's here saying women are not called to preach, but then in another video he says there is no rapture? He's so caught up in teaching rules, that he doesn't teach salvation and how to get it. You are not saved by works, but by grace through faith. His entire ministry is about what people look like (how they dress), observing Moses law (a complete falsehood if you believe in Christ), and correcting other pastors and “EXPOSING” them. This is not of God. As a matter of fact, if it weren't for other pastors, he wouldn't even have a ministry. God is NOT represented in his disrespect of God's children (other pastors who have only shown the world that they are human), his hollering, and uncouth behavior, and his lack of adequately expressing himself without calling specific people stupid or sending questionable packages in the mail like cucumbers and petroleum jelly and then boasting about it. This is NOT of God. Adequate correction is to be done in love, not HATE. He is building himself up by focusing on other's mistakes, which by the way we all make, INCLUDING Pastor Tony. The focus of the church should be teaching the LOVE of God and how we are all saved through God's love and being obedient to God. Not on another’s movement. I think he realizes that he is but a speck in God's church so he must roar loudly and do negative things to get the attention he desires and needs to feel like a better man. NO MAN has it all as someone else stated, but it appears that this Pastor Smith thinks he is Jesus himself who never sinned. It would be funny if there weren't so many taking him seriously. Yes I know his congregation consists of about 50 people, but one is too many when you're talking about lost souls.

@ A child of God – yet the very word says there is a rapture that happens Pre-Tribulation, but Pastor Tony nor does his congregation observe that, this is the very hope of the church to be caught up with Christ when He comes for his church, and this pastor says that's a falsehood. Again…some of the word is observed, not all. SMH – it's sad, it really is.

I have one question…you say that women are not called to preach? Food for thought….why didn't God chose a man to carry the Word? It is written that in the beginning was the Word..and the Word was with God..and the Word was God..He was in the beginning with God. The amazing thing is this Mary carried and birthed the Word when she was chosen by God to give birth to Jesus Christ. She did not consult with man for his approval, appointment, and confirmation regarding what the Angel had spoken to her..she just said let it be as you have said unto me..
God chooses and appointments who he wants to…and the Word of God say in the last days I will pour out spirit on all flesh….your son and daughters will prophesy..and this passage is found in two places in the Bible…the old and new testament.

Unfortunately “Pastor” Keith A. Smith, based on the information that you have communicated here, I don't believe that the ministry is the right thing for you. I'm sure that you probably meant well as most people will probably agree with what you have said. However that's the problem. We've been fed this bad information for so long that the written truth now seems to be unbelievable.

God wouldn't turn from the natural use of a woman to that which is against nature. So I see your point, not saying I agree or disagree, but your analogy is flawed.

It is true that God in his sovereignty can choose whoever he wants to preach his word, but in doing so he will not contradict his word. With that being said, sometimes our own wills and understanding and GIFT can cloud the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Don't believe me? Let's use the apostolic and COGIC doctrines who pride themselves on being the “most” saved through the revelation of receiving the Holy Spirit by evidence of speaking in tongues. If both divisions claim that speaking in tongues is the ONLY evidence that one has received the gift of the Holy Spirit, and members of both divisions have spoken in tongues, then members from both divisions have received the gift of the Holy Spirit; moreover, the Holy Spirit produces the supernatural ability to RIGHTLY divide the word of truth. If this is true, then why does the apostolic doctrine condemn COGIC to hell for baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost and vice versa? The reason, is that one cannot fully rely on the Holy Spirit's capacity to teach and guide, without first denying one's own agenda and understanding. Remember the age old advice from the old church ” I must decrease so that the Holy Spirit can increase”. The problem is, not enough people decreasing. Everyone (male and female) wants a name, a title, a ministry, a church, a calling, and simply put to just be special. This phenomenon is nothing new, its been around since the beginning. It's called pride, and happens to be the first sin committed. The one sin that got satan kicked out of heaven. So lets make sure that our callings and elections are sure, and not fueled by emotion and low self esteem. One rule of thumb is that God will not call you to do nothing outside of HIS word. Here's another rule of thumb for free…..lean not unto your OWN understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths…..Last one, use your spiritual common sense (based largely on reading and comprehension). An example would be, there is neither “male nor female”. Use your spiritual common sense to know that he didn't mean that in the literal sense. If so, in the next couple chapters you wouldn't find Male and Female roles described explicity. If Paul felt that there was literally NO difference between male and female, then he wouldn't describe how women and men are to conduct themselves not only in the home, but in the church setting. It's not meant to hurt anyone's feelings or degrade anyone. It's just meant to establish holy and godly order. Food for thought, one's ego has to protrude in order for feelings to be stepped on. God HATES the very appearance of pride. Lets take our cue from the woman who ate the crumbs from the master's table. Women, lets seek examples of humility, and modesty to pattern our lives after. I am Not condemning anybody to hell for wearing a weave, or painting toenails; I just personally feel that we should stay away from the “look at me” syndrome, to a “look to Christ”, and realizing that its not necessarily expedient to spend your life trying to find ways to do both at the same time.

If God used and ass in the old testament to speak to a man, he can use a woman. Why is it that men dislike women preachers. It is good for people to do research on things in the Bible and research the women in the Bible, to see what it is they are actually doing before condemning women from preaching or doing anything in church.
