Pastor walks across Louisiana and Mississippi to pray for people affected by oil spill

I’m always fascinated at how the Lord leads some people.

According to WLOX, a pastor from Washington DC is making efforts to reach out to people that may have been effected by the oil spill in the Gulf. The fascinating part is that he is doing this all on foot.

Reverend Mitchell Hescox of the Evangelical Environmental Network isn’t using a fancy bus or an entourage. He is not taking a film crew or do anything else that we have seen some pastors do. He is on a prayer walk across Mississippi and Louisiana. Rev Hescox’s goal is to simply walking through these states to offer encouragement and prayer.

This may seem weird and unnecessary to many of us, but to Rev. Hescox, he is just doing what God had called him to do. I’m sure his efforts are having a positive impact on many of the people that he encounters.

Has God asked you to do anything that seems out of the ordinary? How did you respond?

Post a comment and let me know what you think.
