At this forum they were asked the questions about God and the bible.

I could be wrong about this whole thing. However, I am not concerned about whether either candidate knows why God allows people to suffer. Should any of us care about this? Lets remember, we are electing a President, not a pastor.

Is this really probing stuff that Americans definitely need to know? Before anyone gets on their high religious horse, just think for a moment. Think about your last job interview. Think back to the end when your interviewer said, “Do you have any questions for us?” Did you respond with something like “Do you believe that God intervenes in history and punishes nations?” I highly doubt it.

I don’t expect any presidential candidate to be a biblical scholar. I expect them to be well versed issues like healthcare, abortion, and foreign policy.

There has been a lot of noise in the media about the presidential candidates and their religious affiliations. My question is, should we care? When voting for a presidential candidate should my first concern be where they worship?

To be honest, I don’t care. I don’t care what Obama’s pastor has to say. I don’t care if Hillary Clinton reads the NIV or The Message bible. I don’t care if McCain on attends services once per month. When I select a leader for this country religion is not my main concern.

Before any of you get on you Christian high horse, I want you to consider one thing. What type of relationship does your boss have with God? You don’t select an employer based on religion, so why should the presidency be any different.

The thing is, you don’t know what any of these people are doing in their personal time. Many of us make judgements about someone’s relationship with God based on what the media tell us. To quote Chris Rock, “That ain’t right”!

Here’s a crazy idea. How about we just seek God before we vote. If we humbly seek God about who we should vote for, everything else will fall into place.

If we all judged people based on what their pastor says, the country would be really messed up!
