FBI agent Darin Lee McAllister has been charged with fraud in connection with a mortgage scheme. He is facing a total of 19 counts, including wire fraud and bank fraud.

He also happens to be the husband of Judith McAllister who is a Gospel artist and president of the music department for the Church of God in Christ.

McAllister lied about his profession and income in order to get financing to buy rental properties worth $1.25 million in 2006. He is being charged with devising a scheme to defraud the SunTrust Bank in connection with a $100,000 line of credit in addition to making false statements in a bankruptcy petition in 2009.

If he is convicted on all accounts, McAllister could serve a total of 345 years in prison and $6.5 million in fines.

The McAllister Family Needs Prayer
It would be easy for me or anyone else to begin to pile on Darirn McAllister and his family. I don’t think any of us should do that. Let’s sincerely pray for them.

By praying for them, I’m not advocating that Darin McAllister’s actions be excused. If all accounts are true, he deserves any punishmen that he receives.

It is clear that a family is about to be ripped apart. Darin McAllister will likely spend the rest of his life in jail. Judith McAllister will have to spend the rest of her life without the ability to spend private time with her husband.

I imagine that Judith McAllister will need to start answering a lot of questions. The government as well as officials from the Church of God in Christ will want to know about her involvement in the whole matter. I’m sure she will begin to go through some tough and trying times. She will definitely need God’s strength to endure.

I pray that ultimately God gets the glory out of this entire situation. God offers forgiveness to us all and I know he will forgive Darin McAllister. Although McAllister may spend the rest of his life in jail, I pray that God uses him to minister to other people in prison.
