Every now and then I think about an artist that has released a project within the last couple of years and I wonder why weren’t that artist and/or their project better received by the public. I know there are many factors involved. Life can get fairly busy at times and it is easy for an artist to get lost in the middle of everything else people have going on.

It feels like Christopher is one of those groups that people have forgotten. In case you forgot about them, allow me to give you a brief introduction or re-introduction.

Christopher is a male trio that consists of Christopher McNeal, Christopher Reid and Christopher Surratt. They won Bishop Paul Morton’s Gospel Dream competition in 2004. That proved to be one of the the big launching points of their career.

A couple of years ago, they released an album entitled The Journey. That album featured the song “Yes” which climbed as high at 17 on the charts. The Journey had an interesting mix of songs and it caused Christopher to receive accolades from artists like Tye Tribbett, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Byron Cage.

I’m interested in hearing another project from them real soon. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and pray real hard. If you would like to connect with Christopher and see what they are up to theses days you can visit myspace.com/spiritualrealsoul.
