This Man Will Post Every Chapter of the Bible on Twitter

According to Telegraph, Chris Joby plans to use Twitter to spread the word of the Lord. His plan is to condense one chapter per day into 140 characters. (This is the maximum number of characters allowed in a Twitter post.)

The entire process will take over three years to complete. If everything goes according to plan, Joby will make his last tweet in November 8, 2013.

I love this idea. There are tons of “daily bible verse” Twitter accounts out there. This one is different. I think it is very impressive that Chris Joby has committed to paraphrase the Bible.

You can view all of ┬áChris Joby’s posts as he paraphrases the Bible by following @biblesummary on Twitter.

What do you think? Is this just a waste of time or do you see this as something that is beneficial?

When I was in seminary the professor who taught us Bible Survey told us read and summarize each and every book of the bible.

I don't think Chris is wasting his time. But I am sure other Twitter users will find this interesting because it's a different idea. I am going to follow this operation in Twitter right now. After all Chris has found a brilliant way to spread God's word all over the world using Social media.

Oh…. Twitter says that the page for “biblesummery” doesn't exist.

@biblesummary does exist. My link was wrong. I fixed it, so it works now. Sorry about that.
